About us

Who plans your safari

Tonquani plans private safaris in East and Southern Africa for travellers from the United States. It is run by Graham Wallington, inside Xongile Limited.

Founder

Graham Wallington

Graham founded Africam in 1998, which put live cameras at waterholes in African reserves so that anyone could watch them online, and later WildEarth, which broadcasts live safaris. He has worked with wildlife cameras and conservation technology in Africa for more than 25 years.

When you send us an enquiry, Graham writes back to you himself, with a first sketch of the trip.

How we plan a safari

You tell us where you would like to go, when, who is travelling and roughly what you would like to spend. Graham writes back with a first sketch: the camps, how you travel between them and what it costs. We change it with you until it is right, and when you are ready, we book it.

We quote in US dollars, per person, because that is how the camps quote. Seasons change a safari more than anything else, so we will tell you plainly what each month is like in the places you are considering.
